Appearance: Luka is a beautiful sea serpent, in her opinion. She doesn’t look like the human idea of the Loch Ness Monster, which looks like a sea dinosaur. She is a huge serpent who, at rest, looks like a chain of islands because her body makes a row of lumps in the water. Her scales are beautiful, sapphire blue, and in certain lights it looks like she has darker stripes down her body. Her smallest scales are the size of a human’s hand, and the largest could be used as a raft by a human. Her back has a row of spikes that, in anger, she can raise to make herself look truly formidable.
Now that we have a overview of Luka, we can start from the head to the tail. She has a narrow, pointed head, that looks delicate but is actually strong enough to stove a boat. She has a horn on her nose, almost like a rhinoceros, with her two nostrils on each side of it. Her eyes are brilliant, and sparkle with intelligence and mystery. She has two long, coiling horns on her head, and a huge frill behind her jaw. When she’s angry, she can extend the frill which, along with her spikes, make her a terrifying creature. Her body is long and sinewy, and incredibly powerful. She keeps her scales immaculately clean, unlike other sea serpents who are covered with grime, barnacles, and other such creatures. She has a flattened tail, like a ribbon, only a lot stronger.
Her 'human' form, granted by the water fairies, could never actually be mistaken for a human. She stands at 7 feet tall, with a wave of rippling blond hair that, in the sun, shimmers every color of blue and green imaginable. Her skin is ivory pale, and seems to shimmer even in total darkness. Her eyes are the same midnight blue as her serpent form, and her canine teeth are slightly longer and sharper than a normal human's. Her human form can withstand heat as much as a normal human, allowing her to even travel to the plains for short periods of time.
Voice: Luka has a beautiful voice. When she’s just talking, it is soft and musical, like water rippling over stones. It is full of emotion, so anyone can tell how she’s feeling. She loves to talk, and her deep, melodious voice can be heard for miles. However, if she’s angry, it all changes. Her voice becomes cold as ice, almost emotionless. If her voice doesn’t sound like she’s singing, you’re in trouble.

Personality: Luka doesn't like being thought of as a monster. She's very intelligent, probably more so than most humans, and doesn't appreciate people going "AH MONSTER!" She's never once hurt a human, and is very proud of that. She's a gentle soul, unlike many of the other, more uncouth sea serpents. Many of them enjoy sinking ships and being vicious towards humans in general, which Luka finds annoying. Though she's gentle towards humans, she's also very stern and commanding, and none of the other sea serpents dare attack a human when she's nearby.
Luka loves to talk and debate. She'll talk with anybody about anything, and is knowledgable about a wide variety of subjects. She loves to read and, when in human form, will spend most of her time in the library. Many people are surprised that this sea "monster" can talk elegantly and fluently. She can speak almost any human language, and can talk to all the magical creatures that have a language of their own.
As said before, Luka isn't always kind. Though she's never purposely hurt a human or sunk a ship, she has caused storms and hurricanes in the ocean when somebody's ticked her off. Most of the time, she swims underwater, hiding deep underwater to cool off and avoid actually hurting somebody. A number of things can set her off, from humans screaming at her to the other serpents mouthing off.
As a human, Luka acts exactly the same as when she's a serpent. As such, most people recognize her when she's a human, since she doesn't look or act human. She likes being human, but would hate to be stuck as a human forever. She loves being a serpent, a creature of the sea. To her, being a human is entertaining, but not something she would like.

Talent(s)/Abilities: Good at controlling water, extremely intelligent, can speak to any magical creature
History: Luka was created by an Aquatic sorcerer, with the help of about 50 water fairies. She started out quite a failure: she was a sapphire lizard, about a foot long with dark blue eyes. Disappointed, the sorcerer released her, where she quickly scampered into the Kane Sea. In a weird, twisted kind of evolution, she quickly changed shape. It is unknown why she was able to do this, but it is likely that the lizard was a larval form of what she was to be, and contact with the salt water changed her.
She grew webbing between her fingers, and her tail grew flat and paddle-shaped. In the ocean, she grew quickly, until she was easily 30 feet long. At this point she resembled and Asian Lung dragon, though without fur. As she grew longer, her legs disappeared, and she became a true sea serpent.
At first, the creature, who was named the Loch Ness Monster after her Scottish counterpart, was terrified of people and even hated them. However, one kind Aquatic sorcerer taught her to read, and educated her until she was quite clever and wise. After much pleading, that sorcerer asked the water fairies to grant her a second shape with land legs, so she could walk on land and be practically limitless. They complied, giving her the second form of a beautiful human. She grew to like humans, and began to protect their ships in the water. She loved ships: their exotic names, their beautiful, streamlined forms, the figureheads that seemed to speak to her. She wanted to keep them safe from harm, to keep them in one piece. At first, sailors feared her. But after she fought away several malicious sea serpents to protect a ship, rumors of her kindness and generosity spread.

Sample-Roleplay: Luka was lounging in the middle of the Kane Ocean, as comfortable as a human on a bed. She was imitating a chain of islands, and even had a seagull resting on the segment of her body closest to her head.
She had her head lowered, talking to a girl and a boy in a small fishing boat. “Can I see?” she inquired, her soft, deep voice rumbling with the power of the ocean. The girl and boy, twins named Amanda and Alexander, were frequent visitors to the serpent. At age 12, they were kind and sweet, and adored Luka. Mandy giggled, her hands cupped in her hands. Her hands were glowing faintly, and an irritated tinkle was coming from them.
“Here,” Mandy said softly, opening her hands a crack. The fire fairy they contained burst out, chattering indignantly. It tried to fly away but, faced with the immensity of its enemy element, circled around, twisting her hands together fearfully.
“Ssh, calm down, friend,” Luka said softly. “I mean you no harm.” The fairy, understanding the words, decided that facing the sea serpent was safer than trying to face the ocean. She flew to Luka’s head, landing on the tip of one of her horns and holding on with tiny hands. “So this is the cause of all my troubles?” she said, her voice bemused. The kids on the boat laughed; they knew how much Luka hated fire, but was entranced with the creature that created it.
“Yeah, we have to ask permission from them to start a fire,” Alex replied, pointing to the fairy. Luka lowered her head, allowing the fairy to clamber back on the boat, looking faintly green in the face. “Thank you, that was very interesting,” Luka said, raising her head back up. “Need help getting back?” she asked; the mainland was far away, and she worried about her friends making the voyage back home.
“Okay,” the said excitedly, holding onto the side of the boat. Luka bunched up her body then pressed her nose against the stern of the boat. She braced herself, then straightened her body. The boat rocketed forward, the two kids screaming with joy. “Bye!” they called, their voices mixing with the terrified tinkling of the fairy.
